Voting Rules and Regulations

The HBAs was established in 2014 for the purposes of recognizing excellence in hair, makeup, grooming, styling and photography. The voting board is comprised of past honorees, winners, professionals from the beauty industry; encompassing Beauty Agencies, Journalists, Publicists and Beauty Experts. In 2019, the public were invited to vote for the first time.

Who are the nominees?

The incredible talent who compete in the nominee categories for Hair, Grooming, Makeup, Photography and Styling specialize in looks for the red carpet, editorial and on-screen.

Three nominees who specialize in appearances for the red carpet and editorial compete in a category named after the current year honorees (Lifetime Achievement Awardees). The HBAs recognize two hairstyling and two makeup categories to ensure the celebration of all skillset, artistry and diversity.

Nomination Process

The nomination submissions and finalist selection process are based on current year portfolio. I.E. For the 2025 Hollywood Beauty Awards, portfolio consideration is for the 2023-2024 calendar year.

How many times can I vote?
Each registered email is limited to a single voting submission for each nominee category.

When will the winners be announced?
The winners are announced at the show itself on stage at the black-tie dinner ceremony.
